Perhaps I'll be the only one surprised at how EX meter was used during the final four of the Mortal Kombat 9 tournament at Apex 2012 this past weekend. The breaker was a frequent visitor to matches almost as often as a regular EX move.Here's the breakdown in the final four:
Breakers: 35
EX moves: 35
X-Ray moves: 1
Since first-hits mean more in Mortal Kombat 9 than in any other game, here's how players used their bonus EX:
Breakers: 7
EX move: 4
X-Ray move: 0
Only one of those EX moves did full damage. One was blocked, and two were whiffed.
