LOS ANGELES - It was a great time yesterday at TheStream.tv studios watching the LA Riots II tournament. Eight great players went at it hoping to win the second title in the tournament series. Alex Valle prevailed with an undefeated record, beating Shizza in the finals, 3-1.
The two had never met in a tournament before, but they did twice in this exclusive tournament. Valle stayed with his aggressive style and that proved to be too much to overcome.
Check out a recap of the tournament from Coin-Op TV, as well as a picture gallery from them.
Kelly also took pictures from the event, and you can view those here.
We have two interviews from the tournament, check them out after the jump ...
Shizza finished second in the tournament, losing to Alex Valle twice. He was the most aggressive person in the tournament, getting the first hit or combo in 24 of the 32 rounds he played in the tournament (win percentage was at 54.16). But he couldn't overcome the one guy he'd never faced before in a tournament. For his second-place finish, Shizza won a fight stick. In this interview, he talks about his tournament run, plus what he would be doing with the fight stick.
